Football Coaching Volunteer Program in Uganda

Are you passionate about football and eager to make a difference in Uganda? Do you want to immerse yourself in Ugandan culture while using your coaching skills? Would you like to help nurture future football talent in Uganda while gaining valuable coaching experience?

Despite being a beautiful and vibrant country, Uganda is still developing and faces many challenges. Many teenage girls here do not have the chance to follow their dreams of playing football.

football coaching volunteering project

They often lack access to proper facilities, equipment, and training. Economic struggles make it hard for families to support their daughters’ sports ambitions. Cultural barriers also limit their opportunities. As a result, many talented girls miss out on the chance to excel in football.

This is where IFRE’s teenage girl football coaching volunteer program in Uganda comes in! In the heart of Africa, the dreams and potential of young girls and women are waiting to be realized. Many of them are held back by their rural environments, missing out on the benefits of soccer’s joy, discipline, and community-building power.

As a volunteer in Uganda, you will assist with daily team training, exercise routines, planning activities, and organizing outings. You will also help develop and manage fundraising drives for the project. Historically, football has been a symbol of unity and empowerment, but in Uganda, women's football has yet to shine brightly. We aim to change this narrative.

With your support, we are on a mission to build a strong foundation for women’s football and unlock the untapped potential of girls and women in these communities, starting from Kampala. Through this program, we provide local girls' football teams with:

  • High-Quality Sports Equipment: Matching kits, football boots, balls, and training materials.
  • Comprehensive Training Modules: Football coaching along with essential life skills training.
  • Administrative Support: To promote and foster team development.

Join us in making a difference and helping these young girls realize their football dreams! Contact IFRE Volunteers today!
