Kathmandu and Chitwan with Rafting 6 days itinerary

The trip will start with a sightseeing trip of Kathmandu followed by rafting in Trishuli River. The trip will eventually come to an end after visiting Chitwan National Park.

A representative from our company will come to receive you at the airport and take you to a hotel where you will be informed about the daily activities.

After having a hearty breakfast, you will start sightseeing at the first destination of the 6 day Kathmandu and Chitwan tour with rafting, Boudhanath stupa. The stupa is one of the largest in South Asia and is also the center of Tibetan Buddhism of Nepal. You will observe devotees praying and lighting butter lamps. The spiritual energy of the place will give you peace amidst the chaos of the city.

The next stop of your Kathmandu and Chitwan rafting trip for 6 days is Pashupatinath temple. The main attraction of Pashupatinath is the temple of Lord Shiva and the several monuments of different gods. The beautiful complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.

Our next destination, which is Bhaktapur Durbar Square is highly religious. The major highlights of Bhaktapur Durbar Square are the Statue of king Bhupatendra Malla, intricately carved wooden windows of the 55 window palace and Golden gate. The art gallery of Bhaktapur represents the craftsmanship of medieval times.

Early in the morning you will head towards Charaundi on the third day of the 6 day Kathmandu and Chitwan rafting trip. On the drive to Charaundi, the beautiful Himalayan ranges will greet you too. After a brief lesson on safety measures you will start rafting. The raging waves of Kali Gandaki River will add to your thrilling journey.

Rafting for the day will come to an end at Kuringhat. Here, you will be camping in a tent along the river bank for the night. This will mark the end of day 3 of the Kathmandu and Chitwan 6 day trip via rafting.

After breakfast, you will drive to the National Park. National Park activities begin.

Chitwan lies in the tropical Terai region. The lush grassland area is the home of rare species of birds and endangered animals. During the jungle safari you will encounter the one-horned rhinoceros, leopards, bears, deer, crocodiles, wild boars and bison. Your jungle safari includes Wildlife safari, elephant safari, bird watching and canoeing.

The animals of Chitwan tend to be shy, however the expertise and experience of the guides increases the chances of seeing them in the wild. The end of the safari will mark the end of day five of your Kathmandu and Chitwan six-day trip with rafting.
