Annapurna Poon Hill Trek 5 Days Itinerary

You will take an early morning flight to Pokhara. From Pokhara, you drive for one and half hours to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga. From here, you walk for around an hour to Bhurjung Khola, passing via Birethanti.

You have lunch here before continuing to climb a steep stone path, where you’ll be ascending for almost an hour before you reach Tikhedhunga. From Tikhedhunga, you’ll climb 3200 stone steps up to Ulleri, where you spend the night.

After observing the picturesque views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchare – the Fishtail Mountain from Ulleri, lunch will be served at Naya Thanti. After lunch, you ascend steadily through dense rhododendron forest for four hours to Ghorepani.

The third day of your 5 Days Annapurna Poon Hill trek starts with an early morning hike to Poon Hill to view the majestic panorama of the Himalayas. From Poon Hill you get a close up of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Massif, including Machhapuchare.

After having breakfast, you hit the trail that takes you from Ghorepani to Tadapani. This path goes through dense pine and rhododendron woods, however it’s a comparatively smooth hike as you’ll walk the ridge.

The fourth day of the Annapurna Poon Hill 5 Days trek’s trail is mainly downhill. The major attraction of today’s trial is the enchanting Gurung village called Ghandruk. You will explore the village, have lunch and descend toward the beautiful Pokhara city. The rest of the day is reserved for your rest or you can explore the serene lakes of Pokhara.

You get up early in the morning, have your breakfast and say goodbye to the beautiful Pokhara city. Enjoy the scenic 7-hour drive to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you have the rest of the day to rest or for souvenir shopping.
