7-day Spirit Of Bhutan Detailed Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Paro airport, you will be greeted by our representative at the exit doors after customs formalities. We will then proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, we will enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing in Paro, including visits to the Ta Dzong Museum and the Rimpong Dzong. Afterwards, we will drive to Thimphu, following the scenic Pachu River. Overnight stay at your hotel in Thimphu.

Today, we will explore the vibrant city of Thimphu. Our sightseeing tour will include visits to the National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Temple, the National Library, and Tashichhodzong. Overnight stay at your hotel in Thimphu.

We will drive over the Dochu-La pass, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks, and descend into the pleasant Punakha valley. Along the way, we will witness the beauty of the countryside and stop for a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Divine Madman. Upon reaching Punakha, we will visit the historic Punakha Dzong, known as the "Palace of Great Happiness." Overnight stay at your hotel in Punakha.

Today, we will transfer to the picturesque Phobjikha Valley, known for its glacial beauty and as a winter home for the black-necked cranes. We will pass through the bustling market town of Wangduephodrang and enjoy the scenic mountain roads before reaching Phobjikha. Overnight stay in Phobjikha valley.

After breakfast, we will drive back to Paro via Wangdi. Upon reaching Paro, you will have free time to explore the Paro Market for shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Paro.

Today, we will embark on a memorable hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger's Nest. The trail is broad, and the uphill hike of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours will reward you with a breathtaking view of the monastery perched on a sheer cliff face. Taktsang Monastery is an important pilgrimage site and holds great significance in Bhutanese Buddhism. After the hike, we will visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th-century temple built by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. Overnight stay at your hotel in Paro.
