Where do I stay during the one-week language program? Where do I stay during my volunteering program?
What do I eat? What about showers and rest rooms? Do you accommodate special diets ?
Volunteers in India stay in IFRE's hostel during the one-week culture and language immersion program. IFRE offers a 4-room apartment where the language program is held and cooks prepare three (3) Indian meals/day for volunteers. IFRE also provides baths and restrooms in each room. At the conclusion of the one-week of language and culture programs, IFRE's in-country coordinator then takes volunteers to their respective project where participants will be introduced to the local project staff and host families.
In most of cases, volunteers stay with a host family. Host families supply separate rooms along with a communal bath and restroom with said host family. Host families supply three (3) meals a day. Host families do not offer laundry services. Indian cuisine includes: bread or nan, curry, lentil soup, curry, and pickle. IFRE accommodates only vegetarian diets.
The mission of IFRE Volunteers is to offer the most affordable as well as the highest quality volunteer and humanitarian abroad experiences - enabling us to make a contribution for all of humanity in its quest to make the world a better place. Through our volunteer and humanitarian trips abroad, we aim to spread love and compassion worldwide while improving the lives of destitute children and less-fortunate communities. We at IFRE also seek sustainable solutions in the fields of education, healthcare, conservation efforts and development issues through international volunteering.
