Except a one time program fee of $789, there is no monthly fee or hidden charges. You will get a salary and many benefits, IFRE's partner schools offer good salary, free room and food, and even airfare reimbursement for long-term, contracted teachers.
Expect native English (citizens of US, UK , Canada , Australia , Ireland and other English speaking countries), there is no other qualification needed to teach in China . You can teach from 1 month to 1 year. If you hold a Bachelor's Degree in any subject and have one year of teaching experience with TEFL or TOSEL training from an accredited organization, you  have the chances of drawing a monthly salary of up to US$ 800. This program is for native English speakers only, citizens of US, UK , Canada , Australia, Ireland and other English speaking countries with English as a mother language. Extra certification and TEFL training give more opportunities of earning higher salaries.

Benefits of Teaching English in China - Short-term: (1-3 months)
- Up to 2,000 RMB/month for a native English-speaker
- Up to 2,500-3,000 RMB/month for a native English-speaker with a degree in English
- Up to 3,000-4,000 RMB/month for a native English speaker having a degree in English, at least one year of teaching experience, and TEFL or TOSEL training
- Free food and accommodations. In some cases (when there is no school cafeteria), schools provide food allowances/coupons for groceries. This is paid together with a salary on a monthly basis. Volunteers will then prepare food for themselves.
- Room and meals with a Chinese family. A host family can be arranged if participants want to practice their Chinese language skills with a host father and/or mother. Please check with for availability.

Benefits of Teaching in China - Long-term: 4-12 months
- For a native English speaker, a monthly salary up to 3,000 RMB
- For a native English speaker with a degree in English and some experience in teaching, a monthly salary of 3,500 - 4,500 RMB
- For a native English speaker with a degree in English, at least one year of teaching experience, and TEFL or TOSEL training, a monthly salary of 4,500 -5,000 RMB
- Free food and accommodations. Some schools where there is no cafeteria, provide food allowance and grocery coupons to the teachers to prepare food by themselves

China Paid Teaching Program Fee and Dates
China volunteer teaching program starts on the first and third Monday of each month.
IFRE is a 501 (C) 3 organization so your program fee will be tax deductible as provided by law.
IFRE application and placement fee: US $789 (includes insurance coverage for your protection). The fee covers advertising, program promotion, and office expenses (rent, utilities, and staff salaries in USA office). Fee also covers airport receive, drop, China office expenses (rent, utilities, salaries, vehicle), communication, and project co-ordination.
There is no monthly or weekly fee in Paid teaching China program as room/food will be provided free by local schools.
